These are today’s fantasy baseball targets based on the current data.
The goal is simple: build a strong, balanced lineup by starting with pitching, identifying high-upside team stacks, and then filling in hitters based on matchups and trends.
This is all driven by a system I’m actively testing and refining, with a focus on building consistent, winning lineups over time.
Yesterday’s Results
Cash Line: 108.7
Lineup Score: 187.7
Result: CASHED ✅

Successful day yesterday — finished 1st out of 56 in a $2 double up.
Of course, once I saw the score climbing, the questions started popping up… “What if I had played this lineup in a tournament?”
Looking back at the previous day, if I had dropped this score into the tournament I entered, it would have taken first and paid out $20K.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
That’s the nature of the game. You can’t win it if you’re not in it.
Now here’s the real goal with all of this — I’m not chasing a one-time big hit. The plan is to consistently win cash games. If I can win 4 out of 7 days, I’m profitable. It’s not sexy, you’re not hitting a million-dollar payday, but if you know anything about DFS or gambling, realistic expectations live just above 50%.
That said, I’ve been thinking about mixing in some small tournament shots — maybe $1 entries over the next week or so — just to see how things play out. I’ve got some FanDuel bonus cash to work with, so we’ll experiment a bit.
Normally, the approach is one cash lineup and one GPP (tournament) lineup:
- Cash = high floor, beat half the field
- GPP = high ceiling, you need everything to hit
But I’m planning on playing the same lineup in both.
Now, about yesterday’s lineup.
Pitching was the toughest decision. A lot of people would have landed on Framber Valdez, but he got lit up by the Twins. And yeah… MY Twins are actually playing decent right now — sitting at .500 on the season. So I ended up landing on MacKenzie Gore. The big factor in going with him is right now the Mariners are struggling pretty mightily, so I chose that matchup over the others. Clearly that paid off.
Stacks were tricky too. Nothing really jumped off the page. I tried to make Houston work, but it got too expensive and forced too many sacrifices elsewhere.
So I pivoted.
Ended up leaning heavily into Atlanta — and it paid off. Austin Riley and Matt Olson both went over 25 points and carried the core.
And then there was Hunter Goodman…
Dude did everything. Home run, RBIs, walks, stolen base — just one of those complete DFS smash performances.
Now, onto today’s projections.
Take everything with a grain of salt. I’m actively building out a true projection model, but there’s still a lot that needs to be refined. Matchups aren’t fully weighted yet, and there are pieces still coming together.
For now, this is best used for smaller contests, free games, and tracking performance as the system improves.
